Installation
Installing a replacement window is not a job for a DIY-er — even one with a fair amount of experience. Even the finest replacement windows will underperform with an improper installation. Improper installed windows can lead to distortion, warping, or cracking; which, in turn, can lead to poor insulation, moisture infiltration, and exposure to the elements. If you want your new replacement windows to look and perform their best, as well as prevent damage to the interior of your home, expert installation is a must.
An Experienced Team
The installation of replacement windows takes a good amount of skill and experience. The removal of old windows can present a multitude of problems, and must be done with the utmost care to prevent damaging the structures around the window. From there, the opening must be made square, plumb, and level (which oftentimes takes some serious work — especially in older homes). The new window must be set and fastened into the opening perfectly to ensure there will be no air leaks, moisture infiltration, and warping. From there, insulation and caulking will create an air-tight fit to guarantee the highest level of energy efficiency. Lastly, interior drywall and trim must be restored, leading to a beautifully installed new window.
